1. Perform the following operations before starting the edge banding machine
● Check that the edge banding machine is in the correct position and level in the work area.
● Check whether the upper and lower trimming knives of the trimmer are properly tightened.
● Make sure there are no damaged or blocked parts.
●Remove the remaining packaging and tools used for machine installation, and check whether there is any foreign matter remaining.
● Check whether the power supply and control cables of the machine are damaged, such as cuts, bends, crushes, scratches, etc.
● Check the air line and fittings for deformation, scratches, breakage or air leakage.
●If all the inspection results are good, turn on the “power switch lock” on the control panel to start the edge banding machine.
●After the edge banding machine is started, check whether the emergency stop buttons on the control panel and trimming unit work normally.
●Place the edge tape roll on the pallet.
2. Glue pot setting of edge banding machine
●Use the glue pot heating temperature regulator on the control panel to set the glue temperature (recommended glue pot temperature setting range: 180°C-210°C for high temperature glue; 150°C-190°C for medium temperature glue). When the “power switch lock” is turned on, the heating device of the glue pot is also activated at the same time, so the heating temperature of the glue pot must be adjusted first after starting the machine.
●Add granular glue to the glue pot to 3 cm from the upper edge.
●Wait for the pellet glue to melt and reach the set temperature (it is recommended to use high temperature glue, the set temperature is 190℃).
Warning: The heating temperature of the glue pot does not reach the set temperature, and it is forbidden to start the edge banding machine. When the heating temperature of the glue pot reaches the set value, wait for another 10 minutes and start running the glue pot.
●According to “Machine Adjustment and Setting”, insert the edge banding tape into the machine, and adjust the edge banding by gluing the workpiece.
